The Art of Communication Workshop
Join fellow professionals for this half day event that will empower you to explore new ways to effectively communicate, build your elevator pitch and connect with others.
Refine your personal communication skills at The Art of Great Communication, a half-day workshop for professionals from all industries Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Olathe Community Center, 1205 E. Kansas City Road. Learn how to present yourself professionally, connect with others and think on your feet at this entertaining learning opportunity.
Speakers will present how to articulate one’s business goals effectively in the “elevator pitch” and give careful consideration to every written communication, from a Tweet to a business or personal email—remember, they live forever in cyberspace.
The dynamic Harry S. Campbell will give the keynote at this event. Known for his enthusiasm and practical, down-to-earth advice, Campbell speaks from years in the C-Suite for Fortune 500 companies and as owner of several startups.
Additional speakers include Alana Muller, author and speaker; employment law expert Marty Jackson; Mary B. Lucas chief resource officer at Staffmark; and Mark Hamilton, PhD, professor of communication at MNU.
This is the first in a planned series of quarterly workshops developed by MidAmerica Nazarene University. The “Art of Great Communication” workshop is also supported by the Olathe Public Library, Coffee Lunch Coffee, The Olathe Chamber of Commerce and The Entrepreneurial Leadership Project at MNU.
